5 Little Bears – Space Activity Box

Made from excellent non-toxic materials.
Made and owned in Australia, all puzzles by 5 Little Bears are handmade on-site at Lake Macquarie, NSW. Pine timber is sourced from Australian and New Zealand plantations, whilst pine ply is FSC certified and sourced from Papua New Guinea. The business employs mums; helping them get back into the workforce, allowing them to work school hours and have school holidays off to spend time with their kids.
5 Little Bears use large recycled boxes from their local bottle shop to package products for posting. With the cutting of their materials, 5 Little Bears jigsaw a template to reduce waste and sell any spare parts to early childhood for arts and crafts. The dust from their dust extractor is also donated to childhood centres and schools for worm farms and composting.
5 Little Bears regularly donate puzzle samples or materials and recently did so for an orphanage in Tanzania, whom they will soon be creating a range of educational resources to. The business have also expanded their range to adapt to different languages, cultures and countries.

What our experts say...

My boys loved this space activity box, the illustrations were great and I loved that it is made from all natural materials. The magnets were really fun on the fridge too and were used to stick on their space inspired drawings. I love that the dust is donated to worm farms! What a great way to use a waste product. So cool.

Beautifully made and presented, this is such a lovely set filled with a variety of activities to do, things to learn and conversation prompts. Engaging for both my 3 and 6 year old, so much interest, learning and play has come about from it. My younger son has loved the playdough shapes and putting magnets on our fridge. My daughter has been inspired to learn more about the planets in our solar system and even asked for a telescope for Christmas! Highly recommended.

I loved the small travel size of this product which makes it easy to carry along in my handbag to cafes, doctor visits etc. The space theme is one that appeals to many ages and all of my boys aged 2 – 6 were interested. The brand’s donations to children in need and orphanages is impressive and a great way to ensure all stock is used and not wasted.

An educational activity box that teaches children about the planets, the moon and other space-related facts and objects. I love that it’s free of plastic and contains items that can appeal to kids from 2 up. I love that the boxes are handmade locally and that the company donates to an orphanage in Tanzania.
