This product feels so gentle and nourishing. Unlike many cleansing or washing products on the market it feels like it is moisturising as it cleans, and that is exactly what I want for my little one’s skin. I also adore the packaging, the pump top is easy for one-handed use (especially helpful with kids around!) and the branding is so fun and eye-catching. It feels exciting to use! I really admire how Elm Skincare comes from a sixth-generation family-owned farm, and that only the surplus of colostrum is used. To me, that says that they are making the most of our precious resources and have a really good understanding of where their colostrum is coming from. This is the way it should be!
The product was made by a family who faced the struggles of eczema. This is something I have had my whole life and finding products that don’t irritate my skin is nearly impossible. I had the same concerns for my son and after starting swimming lessons I realised how much of a problem this was going to be. Using a product that isn’t a cream but rather a rinse off, is fantastic. The packaging is also beautiful amongst all the beige baby trend it’s fantastic to see some colour. You only need a small amount of product (it goes far). The bottles used are highly recyclable in New Zealand, which is fantastic. The farming system is self-contained, which is also great to see.
I really value the brand’s commitment to sourcing only surplus colostrum while ensuring calves receive everything they need first. Their focus on local farming, transparent sourcing and creating value from an ingredient that would otherwise go unused reflects a thoughtful and responsible approach to both sustainability and farming.
