Ethical
Apia Honey products are 100% made in the south west region of Western Australia, employing and purchasing honey and beeswax from local beekeepers in regional WA. The brand harvests the honey in an ethical and sustainable way not harming the bees and only taking the minimum needed, ensuring as much as possible is left in the frame/hives for the bees. In addition, no pesticides are used as the brand is organically certified.
Sustainable
Apia honey currently uses aluminum packaging for skincare, which will be changed to sugar cane/rPET tubes in the future. The brand’s postal shipping boxes are made out of recycled paper, with recycled and FSC certified paper material being used to protect the products themselves.
Responsible
Apia Honey’s packaging choices mean they take plastic from landfill and oceans and repurpose it, therefore removing plastic from the cycle. The brand also plants a tree for every product sold, in order to regenerate the supply of trees.

What our experts say...

Review

It’s for your lips… and your elbows… and anywhere-else. Why restrict yourself when you’re onto a good thing? I also like the aluminium tube – so handy and handbag-ready! I love that they are supporting local farmers and using local ingredients to make their locally-produced product!

Review

It’s a very nourishing product with intense hydration. It also has a thick consistency which I feel like you could use on other areas of your skin that are super dry. This is an outstanding product. It’s great to see Apia Honey supporting and donating back to their main source of ingredients i.e. bees.

Review

The rich texture is really fantastic. It feels a bit like the cult Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm texture. It melts into the lips and skin and has some staying power, which is nice. It isn’t greasy or oily either, which can happen sometimes with balms. The honeyed scent is also pleasant! This could be used as a universal balm too. They’ve thought about and implemented more sustainable packaging, including the aluminum tube for the balm. It’s also great that Apia Honey specifically supports the local beekeeping community through its supply chain.
