Creative Play Resources works closely with manufacturing partners to support responsible and ethical production practices, emphasising transparency and safe working environments. Its manufacturing partner in China has completed an independent Social Compliance Audit, achieving a score of 91.2% for labour standards, worker wellbeing, workplace health and safety and ethical management systems. All products undergo independent laboratory testing for compliance with Australian and international safety standards and pre-shipment inspections are conducted to ensure consistent quality and accurate labelling.
Sustainable Practices
Creative Play Resources uses high-quality 100% food-grade silicone for its colouring mats, designed for repeated daily use and long-term durability, reducing reliance on single-use products. The mats are reusable, wipe-clean and are free from BPA, phthalates and PVC. Packaging is plastic-free, fully recyclable and gift-ready, with a recyclable plastic tray currently used for markers and plans to transition to more sustainable alternatives. Shipping cartons and recyclable paper-based tape are reused where possible to minimise waste.
Social Impact
Creative Play Resources has donated 1 in every 20 art and craft products sold since August 2024 to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, resulting in over 150 products valued at approximately $4,860 for use in Starlight Express Rooms for children experiencing serious illness. The brand has also provided creative resources to playgroups and shares creative play ideas and educational insights with families and educators through its website and social platforms. Its products are designed to support inclusive, open-ended play for children of different abilities.

When using this product I love the quality. The textas alone are so bright and colour so well. The mat is so beautifully illustrated and provides many different educational aspects (as a home educating parent, I loved this). The fact that it is double sided and includes activities alongside the colouring was a big plus. Then when we were finished, it was a breeze to clean! Very impressed with the brand’s values overall. I love the carefully considered design and the sheer fact that the mat can be used time and time again without waste. I am also very pleased to see that this company continues to give back to charities that specifically have children in mind.
Loved how engaged my kids were with this product. The reusable aspect is great. We took it out to dinner with us and my kids coloured in the whole time. Wiping it clean then starting again. My daughter loved that it had flowers on it, and she wanted me to put that in. 🙂 A continuing commitment to exploring better packaging, the low plastic packaging, and the whole reusable aspect of the product certainly creates less waste and mess.
