Sustainable Practices
Mizzie is committed to sustainability, a notable achievement is the launch of a world-first recycling program for their natural rubber teethers, starting November 2023, which will repurpose the rubber for road construction in Australia. Founder Sandra Ebbott has been invited to join the Australian Toy Association’s sustainability committee to advocate for less toy waste. Mizzie products are made responsibly with recyclable materials and non-toxic dyes, featuring minimal, recyclable packaging for most items. Social Impact
From May 2023, Mizzie The Kangaroo's warehouse collaborates with Send-Able, Australia’s first Social Enterprise third-party logistics provider, creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The brand donates products to the Starlight Foundation for very sick children and has participated in fundraising events, also serving as an Official Drop Off Zone for the Starlight Christmas Toy Drive. The brand supports Eagle Junction State School by donating a portion of proceeds from the Sing With Mizzie SOUND BOOK and contributes regularly to local schools, daycares and kindergartens through prize donations for supplies and charitable raffles. Additionally, Mizzie partners with the not-for-profit organisation Multicap's The Makeables to support local employment initiatives for people with disabilities, emphasising its commitment to contributing to both the community and the environment.

Both of my girls loved the character of the kangaroo and it quickly got the nickname ‘squaky kangaroo’, the material felt really soft and the squeak factor really impressed my 2 year old. It was easy to hold and didn’t smell! I felt confident giving it to my young kids to suck or chew on knowing it was 100% natural. What also impresses me is when I see that brands recycle leftover product or faulty product into something else, whether that is using it in packaging or donating the product.
