The brand is committed to reducing landfill by supplying compostable packaging and fighting the war on waste and landfill through their Return to Earth brand ethos. Biode uses paper or cornstarch for packaging, which is often made from post-consumer waste/recycled materials. The brand plants a tree for every order to return the favour to the environment and replace the resources used many times over. The brand has partnered with onetreeplanted.org, a non-profit environmental charity dedicated to planting forests around the world. In 2022, the charity planted over 52 million trees and Biode wants to help them do more. The brand aims to reduce the impact of their brand's vision and life cycle on the planet by choosing paper over plastic and encourages other global companies to follow suit.

This product was really convenient to apply with the push up tube. It applied easily and almost melted onto the skin. I love the simplicity of the intentionally formulated ingredients and the use of organic ingredients where possible. The scent of sweet citronella and lavender is so pleasant! As a home gardener I very much appreciated that the tube is 100% biodegradable and can be placed into my garden compost upon empty to break down into soil! We live rurally and spend a lot of time outside. I love that I have a non-toxic option for insect protection that the whole family can use safely. I would absolutely buy this product again!

The way that this Biode balm presents and applies is excellent, the cardboard packaging is a rare innovation in this space – Great to see!
