2026 Winners Announced

CLNSR – ZOË & HOPE

FINALIST
Best Face Cleanser for Oily Skin 2026

$38.00

CLNSR is a prebiotic-rich micellar foaming cleanser, pH-adjusted to be gentle on skin and eyes. It thoroughly removes makeup while respecting the skin barrier and microbiome. Australian native botanicals help brighten and calm as pores appear refined.

Formulated with excellent clean ingredients.
Zoe & Hope manufactures all products in-house at its Australian laboratory under internal GMP-aligned protocols, with formal GMP certification planned. All raw materials are sourced through Australian distributors with full traceability via Certificates of Analysis and Safety Data Sheets and suppliers are selected for ethical farming, cruelty-free and vegan standards. The brand is women-founded and women-led, maintains a zero-bullying policy and prioritises a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace. Ethical practice is treated as an evolving operational standard, with transparency measures including documented plans for GMP certification and expanded clinical testing.
Zoe & Hope operates from a compact Australian facility using solar-powered lighting and cooling, with production-grade water supplied by an in-line reverse osmosis system that eliminates reject waste streams. Raw materials are sourced through Australian distributors prioritising ethical, traceable, cruelty-free, vegan, RSPO-certified and upcycled ingredients, with freight consolidated to reduce air transport. Packaging uses recyclable BPA-free polypropylene and paperboard, with digital product information replacing printed inserts. Small-batch, forecast-based production and strict FIFO inventory management minimise overproduction and waste. Their future plans include transitioning to refillable packaging with post-consumer recycled materials and implementing carbon measurement.
Zoe & Hope provides monthly donations to Destiny Rescue and ZOE Australia Limited, supporting efforts to protect vulnerable children from trafficking and exploitation and is transitioning to a structured percentage-of-profit contribution model. The woman-founded, women-led business offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, supports mature-age workforce participation and is developing internship and Indigenous employment pathways. The founder delivers educational workshops and public speaking on skin biology and menopause and provides free online consultations and Q&A forums to support informed consumer decision-making.

Product Reviews by Experts

CLNSR was a unique one to use – I hadn’t come across a texture quite like it before. The foam pumps out without being overly bubbled like similar formats I’ve tried, and the moment you start massaging it in you can feel the difference. It’s richer and has more body, so you’re able to work it around the skin for longer without it disappearing on you, which gives a nice flexible cleansing time. It did a good job breaking down my sunscreen from the day and cleansing the skin underneath, both as a standalone cleanse and as the second step in my usual two-step routine in the PM. In the morning, it lifts off any overnight build-up – sweat, sebum – and leaves a fresh finish for the next steps. The scent is comforting, almost herbal in a warm sort of way, which I really enjoyed – a nice break from the stronger citrus cleansers I usually reach for. I’d class the cleansing power as gentle, but it does everything it needs to. My skin never felt stripped or dried out, which mattered even more with the recent cold days and nights. I’m always encouraged when a brand owner has dedicated part of their life to a cause and then carries that through into what they build. That’s really clear with ZOË & HOPE – the founder, Evangeline, has supported Compassion for Christ for almost three decades. I had the pleasure of hearing more about her personal story and her own journey with difficult skin across different stages of life, something I know a lot of women, myself included, can relate to. I’m impressed by her holistic approach to sensitive skin responding to internal change, which feels like an extension of showing ourselves and our bodies kindness when we most need it. Thinking ahead about responsibility as you grow is essential if you want to stay a conscious brand through the changes that growth brings, and reading the current and future commitments reflected that same approach across ethical, social, and sustainability statements. The monthly contributions to Destiny Rescue and ZOE Australia – helping protect children from trafficking and supporting survivors to rebuild – are fantastic and so needed. I also loved that the brand offers free skincare consultations to help customers and community members understand their skin and build a routine for their needs, and shows the level of care the brand has for it’s community.

When I want my skin to feel really clean and smooth, this is the perfect cleanser. It removes make-up, cleansers and you can use it as a quick mask as well (we love a multitasking product), and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth without feeling stripped, dry or irritated. I love that ZOË & HOPE’s values are backed by real action, not just marketing claims. From Australian-made manufacturing and ethical ingredient sourcing to supporting women in the workplace, reducing waste and giving back to vulnerable communities, their commitment to quality and transparency are such important values to me in a brand and I love seeing how actively this is played out within the business.

What impressed me most about this cleanser is how effectively it cleanses while still supporting the skin barrier. It leaves skin feeling fresh, balanced and hydrated rather than stripped. I particularly like the focus on microbiome support and the inclusion of Australian native botanicals, which creates a luxe cleansing experience suitable for oily skin without causing dryness or irritation. I was particularly impressed by Zoe & Hope’s commitment to transparency and accountability across every stage of product development. The brand demonstrates thoughtful consideration of ethical sourcing, ingredient traceability, sustainable manufacturing and waste reduction, while also supporting women-led initiatives, Indigenous communities and anti-trafficking organisations. I especially appreciated the level of detail provided around both current practices and future sustainability goals, which reflects a genuine commitment to continuous improvement rather than relying on marketing claims alone.
