As part of their social and corporate responsibility, they independently audit their factories to maintain standards of labour, health and safety, environmental performance, and ethics. They use natural fibers and recycled materials wherever possible and use OEKO-TEX and GOTS certified materials that are eco-focused, natural and organic, and free of toxins. Sustainable

Designer Bums has been promoting the use of reusable nappies for over a decade, saving over 21 million nappies from going to landfill and striving to make reusable nappies mainstream. The company also manages and promotes its own Buy Swap and Sell Page, encouraging the upcycling of products through community interaction. Designer Bums partners with organizations such as Thread Together to give functional items with product faults a new life, and experiments with environmentally friendly packaging. The brand works with local councils and community organisations to support parents in using reusable products and has created an exclusively designed nappy print for Banyule Council to promote waste reduction.

Responsible

Designer Bums engages in social responsibility efforts through one-off donations and nurturing ongoing relationships with various organizations. The brand has donated reusable nappies to Epworth Freemasons hospital and given reusable sanitary products to Share the Dignity to help those who cannot afford to follow eco-values. Designer Bums also supports charities through monetary or product donations, such as creating nappies to raise money for the bushfires in 2020 and making monetary donations to The National Breast Cancer Foundation and The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Furthermore the brand partners with different causes to donate items when there is a need for them, such as donating play mats to injured animals in rehabilitation.

The print on this swaddle is playful and fun. The handfeel and the quality of the print is super soft which is impressive as it is printed on a silky muslin fabric. This displayed excellent print technical quality. The print colours and detail of the artwork were also well defined. I appreciated this excellent attention to high quality artistic design. It is a piece of art on a swaddle!

Silky soft to the touch and vibrantly colourful, this is an absolutely gorgeous muslin. I love that it is extra large – not only does it create a cosy swaddle but it’s also so wonderfully versatile becoming a portable play mat, sun cover for a pram, towel for an impromptu swim, breastfeeding cover and so much more!
