What our experts say...
As other companies in the eco toilet paper space have proven, people like their toilet paper wrapped in an aesthetically pleasing way. I really loved stacking these rolls up in my guest loo and loved the way they looked. The puns also made me laugh. I found the toilet paper really absorbent and reasonably soft. The sheets felt thick and of nice quality.
From their philosophy to their processes to their materials, the brand’s entire SR responsibility felt thorough and I am impressed by it. I am both a massive fan of old-growth forests as well as bamboo as a future “hero” product of a sustainable world. I very much vibe with the lack of bleaching of a product that’s entire destiny is about being quickly disposed of. The thought of spending so much energy/resources and creating pollution just for a tiny moment before flushing it seems bizarre to me and therefore I really like what Eco Cheeks are doing.

I like that sections are easy to tear off, the paper is really soft (it’s actually softer than bleached toilet paper) and I’ve found it to be really absorbent. I love that the brand has taken from personal experience to choose an organisation to donate to, even if they are not profitable, because it is close to their heart. This resonates with me because I have done the same in my life.

From an environmental, functional and non-toxic perspective, Eco Cheeks is as good as it gets. It’s soft, strong and each roll lasts a long time. Whilst recycled tp may be potentially more environmentally friendly, it’s not as low tox given the bleaching and potential for BPA and other endocrine disruptors to end up in the mix. Eco Cheeks have hit the perfect balance and I look forward to watching (and supporting!) them as they grow. I love that they plan to increase their donation % as they expand.

Beautifully presented and soft to the touch, this 100% bamboo toilet paper has gotten me thinking about the chemicals and toxins that standard toilet paper exposes to both our bodies and waterways. I really appreciate the transparency of the supply chain, that the bamboo is 100% sustainable and that the packaging is 100% zero waste (with paper tape on the boxes!)
