Eco Art & Craft manufactures its products in Australia within a small-scale, family-owned facility under direct oversight, operating 100% off-grid. Ingredient sourcing prioritises reputable suppliers with compliance documentation and traceability, including HJ Langdon, a SEDEX member with documented quality assurance frameworks. All products are 100% vegan, free from animal-derived ingredients and not tested on animals. Formal third-party testing processes commenced in 2025 to substantiate product safety and formulation integrity. The brand maintains a commitment to a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Eco Art and Craft operates from a 100% off-grid facility in Northern NSW powered entirely by on-site solar energy stored in battery systems, with all operational water sourced from harvested rainwater. Packaging has transitioned to fibre-based materials designed for composting or recycling, with ongoing removal of plastic components. Powdered paint formats extend shelf life and minimise product waste, while botanical pigment systems reduce reliance on fossil-fuel derived synthetic dyes. Small-batch production reduces overproduction and excess inventory waste.
Eco Art & Craft supports regional economic activity by prioritising Australian suppliers and local manufacturing, and engages with nature-based playgroups and early childhood groups across Australia to encourage earth-friendly craft materials and nature-connected creative play. The brand provides accessible education for families about the environmental impact and safety of craft materials through online platforms, and is committed to supporting families navigating grief by recognising creative practices as a gentle form of therapeutic expression and exploring partnerships with organisations supporting these families.

Product Reviews by Experts

When my kids have messy fun, I just want them to run with it. I love these products for messy creativity -they can make colourful, magical mess with non-toxic and non-staining products I’m happy to hand over without a second thought. They mix the colours and watch what happens, and the joy on their little faces is everything. Get ready for delighted giggles as the colourful powder fizzes and pops. What stood out most to me is that sustainability and conscious business practices feel deeply embedded in every part of this brand rather than simply being part of the marketing. From operating fully off-grid using solar power and harvested rainwater, to compostable packaging, thoughtful ingredient sourcing and a commitment to creating genuinely non-toxic products, there is an incredible level of integrity behind everything they do. I particularly value brands that prove caring for children and caring for the planet can go hand in hand, and this business sets an exceptionally high standard in all areas. A true gold standard for sustainable and conscious business.

This kit is so much fun! I liked to bring it out in the morning while I am making the kid’s breakfast and they are very content mixing away. There were lots of giggles when their potions start fizzing. I love that the ingredients come from nature, so I don’t have to worry about it getting on skin. And while it gets messy (which is what makes it fun!) it is so easy to clean up afterwards. The plastic free packaging is wonderful. I love the simplicity of the ingredients. Nothing unexpected, just simple and natural ingredients from nature. I feel so comfortable with my kids using these!

I immediately thought this was the kind of activity my kids would absolutely love. The combination of fizzing, colour mixing and open-ended sensory play is such a fun way to capture children’s attention while encouraging creativity and experimentation. I particularly love that the colours are derived from botanical ingredients rather than synthetic dyes, which gives parents extra peace of mind while still delivering a really engaging experience. Learning that the business operates off-grid using solar power and harvested rainwater was incredibly inspiring, and it was clear that sustainability has been considered at every stage, not just within the product itself. I also love the focus on encouraging children to connect with nature.
