The HempPurify Emulsifying Oil Cleanser effectively removes stubborn makeup while maintaining skin’s balance and hydration. It contains antimicrobial botanicals like Kawakawa, Rosemary and Lavender, and is rich in vitamins A, C, D & E to protect against premature aging. The formulation also features skin-toning and moisture-locking oils.

Sustainable

At Hark & Zander, all packaging is made ethically and is recyclable, including the bottles, boxes, and shipping materials. The company opted for glass bottles because it is not plastic and uses natural fibre labels with removable adhesive. The brand's PEFC certified cardboard boxes are also 100% recyclable and no lamination is used to make it easier to recycle. The hero ingredient is Carbon Positive Hemp, and the company is looking into achieving B-Corp certification.

Responsible

Hark Zander's founder is a patron for the Breast Cancer Cure Charity and the brand donates products to their fundraisers and several other local fundraisers. The laboratory and production line are based in Auckland and the company is committed to sourcing organically grown New Zealand hempseed for their oil, which required innovation and the import of a new machine to obtain. The brand's decision to make their products in New Zealand supports local businesses and the NZ economy.

I kept coming back to this beautiful cleanser. It’s rich and soothing on the skin, whilst gently, thoroughly cleansing. It leaves skin feeling really nourished and nurtured, plus the scent is delightfully moreish!

Their policies seem authentic and genuine. There has been as much consideration for what’s in it as well as what isn’t! Steadfastly pursuing local manufacture is also always so impressive (and something I think consumers are only increasingly connecting with and appreciating).
