This hydrating cream is enriched with watermelon seed oil, kakadu plum extract and jojoba oil to moisturise and nourish the skin. Organic honey is also added for its antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Formulated with excellent clean, mostly organic ingredients, including organic Kakadu plum and marshmallow extracts and aloe vera.

Ethical

Kardia Beauty produces natural and organic products made in Byron Bay by a contract manufacturer with over 30 years of experience. The manufacturer sources high-quality ingredients from around Australia and the world, including Fair Trade options when available.

Sustainable

Kardia is an eco-conscious brand that uses recycled land waste plastic for their bottles, which are manufactured in Australia. They also print their product boxes and postcards on at least 30% recycled paper and use honeycomb paper to wrap products for delivery, which is also recycled, recyclable, and compostable. All orders are hand-packed with no plastic, and the brand only mails in cardboard boxes.

Responsible

Kardia is a recently launched brand, and has not yet developed its social responsibility strategy. However, the brand has already supported a few charities by donating products for raffles and plans to continue this as opportunities arise. The founder of Kardia Beauty has a personal connection to the Leukaemia Foundation and intends to reach out to them to see how she can work with them, including gifting teens in hospital going through chemotherapy with a skincare duo to remind them of their bravery and strength.

I find this fruity scented, watermelon honey hydrating cream really enjoyable to use. The cream is so easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling hydrated with an incredibly smooth finish. I love the positive affirmations included on the packaging of this product too – “I am calm, I am positive, I am confident”. What a great thought to start and end the day with!

It is also wonderful to learn that Kardia Beauty are utilising 100% recycled land waste plastic for their packaging and that the brand is conscious when sourcing their ingredients. They have wonderful charitable plans for the future too!
