The scent is hands down my favourite part of this deodorant. The Honey Myrtle is fresh, uplifting and uniquely Australian without being overpowering, and it makes applying deodorant feel like a little daily ritual rather than a chore. It glides on beautifully, doesn’t drag on the skin, and kept me feeling fresh throughout the day without irritation. I’ve tried a lot of natural deodorants over the years, and this is one I’d happily keep buying. I love how every part of the brand feels aligned with its values. From using Australian native ingredients and supporting local growers, to powering their facility with solar and packaging everything in plastic-free compostable tubes, they’ve clearly thought about the impact of every decision. Their transparency around ingredient sourcing and commitment to educating people about low-tox living makes them feel like they’re genuinely trying to create positive change, not just sell deodorant.
I loved this deodorant. From the moment I saw it wrapped in beautiful plastic free packaging with a little dried yellow flower. To the smell – stunning. After trialling it for a 10 hour hospital shift my daughter used it for a 3 hour class of ballet. It is gentle but effective. It has become her go to deodorant and I need to buy my own. I have sensitive underarms and did not react. I am impressed by an Australian business that considers the environment. From production to packaging to use. I also really appreciate that the deodorant is made from native Australian ingredients.
This deodorant smells lovely and it works. I really loved and appreciated the cardboard tube that the deodorant is housed in to eliminate the use of plastic waste – and the simple eco packaging that the product came in, which is consistent with the brand’s ethos and commitment to sustainability. I also really admire that indigenous history has been woven into the brand. It’s great to see that Totem Eco supports the community and initiatives like The Annual NYE Run in Sydney and Melbourne and Stand Tall Retreats. Also lovely to hear that even though Totem Eco doesn’t rely on markets as a distribution channel, they still make the time to go along as they see it as an opportunity to help educate the community on the benefits of low tox living.
