48 rolls of sustainable bamboo toilet paper without nasties like bleach, chlorine, BPA, dyes, etc. It is 3-ply, soft, strong, septic safe, biodegradable and comes with 300 sheets – double the length. The embossed texture adds extra strength and it is naturally hypoallergenic and anti-bacterial. Each roll is individually wrapped.

Oobamboo is committed to promoting fair trade and ethical work environments in its operations and supply chains to fight against modern slavery. The brand sources its bamboo toilet paper from Yongchuan, Chongqing, China, carefully selecting its supplier to meet social standard requirements. By using bamboo pulp instead of wood pulp, the manufacturer has saved 6 million trees per year from being cut down. Oobamboo closely monitors its supplier factories, mills and farms to ensure sustainable, fair labour practices, safe working conditions and environmental responsibility. Its manufacturers have 1,600 employees, of which 1,200 are from the local area, helping to lift the socioeconomic level of the region.

Sustainable

Oobamboo utilizes 100% bamboo pulp for its products instead of wood pulp, which helps to prevent further deforestation and habitat loss for endangered and native species. Bamboo grows much faster than trees and needs to be harvested to control its growth and it doesn't require pesticides. The brand also uses recycled cardboard packaging and paper tape, and employs carbon-neutral courier companies for delivery.

Responsible

Oobamboo donates 50% of their profits to various Australian charities and ONE GIRL. Their donations include product donations to Escabags, planting trees, adopting a koala, supporting koala breeding programs at Port Macquarie Koala hospital, donating to ONE GIRL and World Animal Protection and donating products to eco projects such as the Australia Zoo Wildlife Crocodile Hunter Research Program. Customers choose which charity they would like to donate their purchase to.

I love the packaging! The colours of the toilet paper wrapping are a neutral palette which I love and they fit into my home really well. The toilet paper feels very similar to the tissues, strong but soft enough on delicate areas. I love that there are no nasties and that they are septic safe since we live on a farm and have a septic tank – this is a huge plus! It isn’t as easy to rip as the toilet paper we currently use, so I found my kids were using less, not sure how that works but using less is a win – LOL!

I also think that it is so generous that they donate 50% of their profits to Australian charities – I really like what this brand is about and loved being able to review their products.

The Oobamboo Unbleached Toilet Rolls are a great sustainable option. Surprisingly soft, the rolls are individually wrapped in paper and I love that there are no nasties in them. I’m also impressed that the business donates a huge 50% of profits to Australian charities!

Softer than a lot of bamboo toilet paper available, this toilet paper has become a regular in our house. I really appreciate the sustainability of bamboo and also prefer it as a material to recycled paper, due to the potential for contamination of recycled paper with BPA from office receipts etc. I also love that 50% of the profits go to Australian Charities and One Girl – it’s so great to know my purchases are contributing to a better world!
