Ethical
People 4 Ocean sunscreen is 100% made in Australia - including the tube and ingredients are sourced locally and from vegan origin. The product tube is manufactured by Australian solar powered company Impact - based in Sydney. The sunscreen tube itself (60% sugar cane resin LDPE) is low in CO2 as sugar cane absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere while it grows. Therefore the packaging is nearly carbon neutral.
Sustainable
This product is 100% reef-safe and free of all known marine pollutants. Ingredients are carefully selected, from natural origin and biodegradable. The brand uses non-nano Zinc Oxide - the safest broad-spectrum UV blocking ingredients to be TGA and FDA approved. This low-carbon footprint product is encased in 60% sugar-cane resin. P4O products are shipped using carbon-neutral couriers for domestic standard shipping and compostable paper mailers. All packagings exclude single-use packagings (no outer box) or single-use plastics.
Responsible
A percentage of all sales directly funds reef restoration initiatives worldwide In each country of distribution, a percentage of each product sold is given back to local non-for-profit organisations focusing on reef rehabilitation and conservation. For example, a percentage of all sales in Seychelles is directly donated to "Nature Seychelles Reef Rescuers" project. The same way, a percentage of all sales in NZ is donated to local projects such as Kelp forest regeneration (LiveOcean).

Despite being SPF 50, this reef-safe sunscreen is surprisingly lightweight and moisturising and my kids appy it and rub it in with ease. I love that it lasts for up to 3 hours and stays on strong after a couple of swims. The scent is lovely too! I love People4Ocean’s efforts to create sustainable and locally-made packaging. The People4Ocean SPF 50 Vegan Sunscreen is so easy to apply – you can feel that this sunscreen must have a higher percentage of oils in it. I LOVE the smell with the addition of lavender oil! Reef friendly and biodegradable, this is a great sunscreen option. I also love that this sunscreen is 100% made in Australia, including the packaging and that it is recyclable.

I loved the hint of lavender smell! And I really love how long lasting the protection is in the water – it made me feel super confident with the kids at the beach. People 4 Ocean obviously genuinely cares about how the products that have gone before theirs have impacted the oceans.
