Sustainable Practices
Scoop Whole Beauty is Australia’s first circular makeup brand, offering a completely closed loop refill system that allows customers to refill empty product packaging at Scoop Wholefoods stores, eliminating waste. All packaging uses FSC certified bamboo, home compostable cardboard, endlessly recyclable glass, stainless steel and aluminium, with shipping materials that are 100% plastic free. Products are 100% palm oil free, free from synthetics and non-toxic for protected ecosystems and biodiversity. Ecommerce refills are provided in 100% compostable or endlessly recyclable packaging.
Social Impact
Scoop Whole Beauty enables customers to plant trees with their orders through Good API (Sprout), with significant uptake since April and some customers planting up to five trees per order. The brand also funds the removal of 1kg of ocean plastic for every $100 spent by subscribers, via DeepChange, for every purchase made in their lifetime. Additionally, the brand offers a small but inclusive shade range to support a broad variety of skin tones.
