I have so many good things to say, I can’t do short. I really loved how comfortable this cup is. The rim is a lot more flexible than others I have tried, it was very easy to insert, no leakage problem. The closed tip of the stem to remove it as well as the size of the not too tiny holes at the top made for super easy cleaning! There was no unwanted pressure and, although my cervix drops more during my period than before I had my son, the height of the cup was just right. Honestly, I preferred this to my menstrual disc! And I really love the case, which I found more hygienic than the usual fabric pouch cups come in and to top it all off, the cups are a fun colour, now that matters, because over time, I have found my other cup to yellow, with the colour of these, I don’t foresee this being an issue. What really stood out to me was the flat hierarchy, full financial transparency, and pay equity. I honestly didn’t even know that was possible in a business, and it completely blew me away. It’s one of the many reasons I love judging the Clean & Conscious Awards. Every year I discover businesses that challenge what I thought was possible. To me, this level of transparency and equity should be the standard, and it’s inspiring to see a company genuinely living those values rather than simply talking about them. And to top it all off… they’re tackling period poverty, educating younger women and helping break the stigma around menstrual health, while also finding innovative ways to drastically reduce plastic waste. They even developed a world-first machine that wraps their products in recyclable paper instead of single-use plastic, proving that sustainability and innovation really can go hand in hand. Honestly, I’m struggling to find something not to love about this brand. It’s female-led, purpose-driven, and shows that a business can care deeply about its people, its community, and the planet without compromising on quality. Love love love❤️
What I immediately noticed about this period cup is that it’s super easy to fold, which makes it way more straightforward to use (there was no messing about trying to keep the cup folded!). I found it comfortable and easy to remove, thanks to the grip lines at the base of the cup, which is a great feature. One thing that makes it stand out from other period cups is the carry case, making travel and storage more hygienic – a fantastic addition. First of all, I love that the period cup is designed to be reusable for years to come, preventing a lot of waste compared to disposable period products. Not to mention the zero-waste production process for the silicone cups themselves! It’s fantastic that Moxie’s period cup is also Vegan Australia Certified, which provides peace of mind, knowing it contains no animal-derived ingredients and is cruelty-free. Ethical production is really important to me, so I appreciate that Moxie work exclusively with supply partners who meet strict standards for social responsibility, ethical labour practices, and product quality. I think what also makes Moxie stand out compared to many period product brands is that they’re female-founded, owned, and led. It’s really good to know that there’s a real person behind the brand, who cares about the impact period products make on the world, and who advocates for menstrual equity and reducing stigma through the brand and products.
I loved the modern and colourful design. It definitely makes you want to use the products and feel cool during a moment that is very sensitive for many women. I also liked the range of products the brand offers. This way, each woman can find the best option for herself, while the brand continues to focus on providing sustainable options. The shape of the cup is my favourite one. It’s the type of shape that my body is used to and fits better for me. I feel like I have nothing inside me – that gives me comfort and freedom. I appreciate that the brand approaches sustainability not only from a broader environmental perspective, but also with a strong focus on women’s health and wellbeing and the commitment to “tackling period poverty”.
