The Little Green Cream Co. – Original Concentrate 25g

The texture of this balm is really lovely. Solid at room temperature, it softens on your fingertip and has just the tiniest, pleasing hint of texture. It melts into your lips, cuticles or wherever you apply it without any added fragrance. The high content of hemp oil is an Omega powerhouse too. There’s no stinging, no underlying dry feeling of tightness thanks to a really gentle list of ingredients. It also has staying power, likely due to the lanolin and beeswax, which are excellent occlusives to lock moisture into the skin barrier. It did double duty as a nighttime lip treatment and cuticle saver for me. It’s size also makes it easily portable!

I was also impressed from the carrier bag right through to the aluminium pot the balm arrived in. There is minimal packaging, which is the most sustainable sort of packaging you can have once you make sure the required vessel for the product and product delivery are accounted for. It’s no frills in the best way possible and the use of hemp oil is both great in that it’s a sustainable, highly renewable ingredient that actually has fantastic skin benefits, like combating inflammation.

I’ve been reaching for this balm through the colder weather and it’s been especially great for dry lips, my nose and even my cuticles which tend to get very dry. A little goes a long way so the tub would last a long time and I also love that it’s in an aluminium container which can easily be reused or recycled.

It’s great to see the brand use a hero ingredient – hemp – that is very renewable and sustainable! It’s also great to see they are very involved with community and charity.

This is a really nourishing multi purpose balm that is in a perfect pocket size. Full of lots of great skin loving ingredients! I also appreciate that they have a community focus and ethical drivers.
