$140.00

A set of seven nutritionally complete board books, created by nutritionist and mum Lisa Baker, combining a scientific nutritional base with storytelling fun to combat fussy eating and inspire a lifelong love of healthy food.

Made from excellent, non-toxic materials. 400gsm FSC certified paper with matt lamination and FSC certified 3mm grey board slipcase. Suitable for children from 6 months to 5 years.
Coffee Table Nutrition selected 1010 Printing in China for board book production, as no Australian printers could fulfil this requirement; 1010 Printing is highly recommended within the industry and is open and transparent about its ethics. No AI was used in the creation of the books. The books feature drawings of diverse children and families. The business is operated by one woman and her children occasionally assist with packing and are generously rewarded.
Coffee Table Nutrition uses FSC certified stock, works with sustainability minded printers, conducts small print runs to reduce waste and uses vegetable soy based inks rather than petroleum.
Coffee Table Nutrition occasionally reads to children at daycares and has donated over 100 books to families.

Product Reviews by Experts

I absolutely loved these books and what a beautiful way they introduce children to the magic of food, nourishment and the importance of eating a colourful and balanced diet from such an early age. I really appreciated how they take concepts and functions we often don’t discuss until much later in life and make them accessible, fun and engaging for little people. The books are simple, thoughtful and flow beautifully with a rhyming style that makes them genuinely enjoyable to read, which as a mum I know matters. My children were so engaged and I love that these books have naturally opened the door for so many more conversations around food, variety and fuelling our growing bodies. What stood out to me most is that this brand is clearly driven by genuine purpose, with improving children’s relationship with food and nutritional education sitting at the heart of everything they do. I really value the thoughtful choices made around FSC certified materials, vegetable based inks and small production runs to minimise waste, alongside the transparency around manufacturing decisions where local production was not possible. I also appreciate the wider impact this business is creating through book donations and helping families build healthier relationships with food from early childhood. A thoughtful brand making conscious choices while creating meaningful impact for families.

The personalised note, adorable stickers and beautifully organised storage box made a wonderful first impression, and my children were immediately excited to explore the books. As a mum, I particularly loved the concept of teaching children about healthy eating through storytelling rather than pressure or instruction. It’s such a clever way to introduce important nutrition concepts in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way. The books are beautifully presented, durable for little hands and create opportunities for meaningful conversations about food that feel positive and empowering. Improving children’s nutrition and helping families build positive relationships with food is at the heart of everything they do, and that mission comes through so strongly in the product itself. I also appreciate the thoughtful production choices, including FSC-certified materials, vegetable-based inks and small print runs to reduce waste. Beyond the product, I love that books have been donated to families and shared within childcare settings, extending the impact beyond those who purchase them.

These are such a fun way to introduce kids to the role of nutrition within the body! I love the stories – they are light-hearted and engaging but also very informative at the same time. I found that even I was learning new things while reading these! My kids were very excited to bring a book along to the dinner table when one of the ingredients in their meals was featured in the books! It is so great to hear that these books are hand drawn and without the use of AI. Anything that promotes a life-long love of healthy food is always a winner!
