They choose factories with high standards of care for their employees, which provide certifications for materials and are open to visits, audits, and inspections. The brand is also a Certified Living Wage employer and supports local businesses and employee development.

Sustainable

The Sleep Store emphasizes the "buy less, buy better" approach and prioritises plastic-free and recyclable materials in their packaging. They use paper and card mailers and recycled boxes whenever possible, and minimize packaging materials. The brand has over 10 years of eco-conscious practices in their office and warehouse and has undertaken ToiTu carbon certification to measure their carbon output and has reduced package volume size by 5%. They plan to offset carbon through avoidance and removal credits and will continue working with Toitu for year-on-year improvements.

Responsible

The Sleep Store supports local charities Give A Kid A Blanket, Oxfam, NZ Baby Box, and Baby Start through donations and fundraising efforts, and acts as a community donation drop-off point for Give A Kid A Blanket. They also donate products to other community projects and fundraisers. The company funds a team of expert sleep coaches who provide infant sleep advice for free through Sleep Store support groups. Additionally, The Sleep Store has launched a social organization called Babywearing Aotearoa, which is a community organization and social enterprise that helps parents learn about babywearing and find the best carrying option for their family.

These jarmies are so beautiful. I’ve genuinely been trying to find woolen pjs and was excited to find these. As a family who doesn’t use heating overnight in winter (for eco/cost reasons) – having relatively warm PJs is awesome.

“The snuggliest, cosiest pyjamas in the universe!” to quote my daughter – and she’s right! These beautiful pyjamas look like a high quality tracksuit, however have the softest merino fleece on the inside. They wash well and the fleece gets fluffier over time and even softer. These are the perfect pyjamas for cool winter nights – I just wish they came in adult sizes!
