Tripod Coffee is an Australian-owned brand that sources its coffee beans from around the world and has them roasted and blended by local artisans in Sydney. The brand's latest capsule iteration is 100% bio-based and made with natural materials, using a combination of plant oils and fatty acids as the primary raw material.

Sustainable

Tripod Coffee, is prioritising the environment over profit by introducing a range of 100% plant-based coffee capsules with an AS 5810 Home Compostable Australian Certification that can be disposed of in home or commercial compost bins. The brand also runs a closed-loop 'Pod to Plant' program where customers can send back used capsules for recycling into fertilizer. The brand aims to limit the environmental impact of coffee pods and reduce single-use plastics.

Responsible

Tripod Coffee donates a percentage of their profits to Rainforest Rescue for the purpose of restoring the land of the Daintree Forest and also partners with Mallow Sustainability to offer a food waste collection service. Their coffee pods are certified home compostable and can be returned to Mallow Sustainability for proper composting. Tripod Coffee aims to regenerate the earth and encourages other businesses to do the same.

I really love these coffee pods! Nespresso compatible, compostable pods. The packaging is nice and bright, and the box is easy to open to access pods. Beautiful aroma, full bodied taste which I love as I love strong coffee. Easy to use pods – popped into our compost after use. These pods are my favourite out of this category; such a delicious way to start the day. Quality coffee, just like having a barista at home, is probably one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time!

I think it is great that their pods are made from 100% plant based materials; no single use plastics at all. Australian owned and operated is a huge plus. It is also great that they donate a percentage of their profits to Rainforest Rescue for the purpose of restoring the land of the Daintree Forest

I love that these capsules fit my Nespresso machine but also that they are compostable. My dad didn’t believe me as I put them in his compost but after reading the company’s website he got it 🙂 I also like the taste of these – they weren’t strong enough for my husband, but they were just perfect for me!

I like that they have thought of recycling and compostability throughout the production process. I like that they support charities that I am aligned with and I also like that they provide a service for returning the pods as well.
