Turquoise Creative – Plantable Birthday card

A beautifully made, vibrant card, that is a gift in itself – a bunch of flowers not yet realised. Look forward to being able to plant it and see the daisies grow. Turquoise Creative are clearly committed to nature. Their seeded paper is made of 100% recycled paper collected from local organisations, businesses and schools and their packaging is all environmentally friendly. The brand even turns their scraps into additional products, such as confetti. What fun!

The texture of the paper is beautiful and not at all difficult to write on which can be a pain with seeded products. This birthday card is actually being given to a friend who had a birthday last week. She is very environmentally focused so I can’t wait to see her face light up when she realises her card will have a second life. I think that’s part of it, is seeing the intrigue and joy on someone’s face when they realise the birthday card is the gift that keeps on giving. I love that this business is disrupting an otherwise pretty wasteful industry creating cards and stationery. I certainly don’t have any more space to keep every birthday card, congratulations, condolences and with love card from here until I leave the planet. I love that I can give a card, or recieve one and plant it in the garden for a beautiful patch of flowers to enjoy.
