Made with natural fibres including 100% Merino fill and 100% organic cotton lining, it provides warmth and comfort. They work with smaller offshore factories and choose those that have high standards of care for their employees. Woolbabe also supports various charities around New Zealand, including Give a Kid a Blanket, The Kindness Collective, and Baby Carrier Libraries.

Sustainable

Woolbabe emphasizes a "buy less, buy better" approach and operates a plastic-free supply chain. Their products are made from natural, renewable, and biodegradable fibres like wool, and they have a repair and resale policy when possible. Woolbabe uses recyclable, biodegradable or compostable packaging materials and has minimized packaging waste. They have been operating an eco-conscious office and warehouse for over 10 years and are certified as a New Zealand living wage employer. In 2021, they undertook Toitu carbon certification to measure and improve their carbon footprint through strategies like ordering in larger quantities less frequently, consolidating sea shipments, minimizing air freight and offsetting carbon through avoidance and removal credits.

Responsible

Woolbabe is committed to supporting various local charities through donations and fundraising activities such as Give A Kid A Blanket, Oxfam, NZ Baby Box and Baby Start. The brand serves as a community donation drop-off point for Give A Kid A Blanket and donates products to various other community projects and fundraisers. I love the choice of merino wool for a sleeping bag. Wool keeps you warm when it is cold and cools you down when it is hot, therefore it is an excellent choice of fibre. With the room temperature dropping in the early hours of the morning, I was finding it difficult to select the best sleeping bag that would suit both the room temperature at the start of my baby’s night, and the room temperature of the early hours of the morning. With a suitable temperature range of 14 degrees to around 20-22 degrees, this made the sleeping bag an excellent choice! It also has a great wide size range from 0000 to 0, which gives this sleeping bag excellent product longevity. My baby will have plenty more wears of this before he grows out of the size.

I enjoyed Woolbabe’s excellent choice of local charity donations and fundraising support. The selected charities are well aligned to Woolbabe’s product, purpose and mission. Sleep coaching and babywearing funds is also an excellent family initiative!

Made with the highest quality natural materials, this beautiful sleeping bag is not only cosy for my children to use but less stressful for me as due to its thermoregulating properties, it is suitable for a wide range of room temperatures. This bag is a generous size and has a heavier weight than others, which I find really settles my children on a sensory level and makes them sleep better. Made to last -I have one which lasted 4 winters with 2 children and it could still be used for another child! The front zip makes it super easy to transfer a sleeping child into which is a bonus too!
