The brand uses New Zealand-made merino as their preferred choice and their products have both OEKO-TEX and ASO certification. Their seamstresses work from home around family commitments and are encouraged to work at their own pace and enjoy flexible working arrangements.
SNUGBAGS are a proud business member of Keeping New Zealand Beautiful, Mummys In Need and Birthing Kit Australia. SNUGBAGS have have donated 1000 baby care products to Mummys in Need and 1500 Clean Birthing Kits. They have also been a community donation drop-off point for Give A Kid A Blanket and have supported various other community projects and fundraisers by donating products.
SNUGBAGS use 100% natural fabrics that are sustainable, renewable and biodegradable. No plastic packaging or labels are used, instead opting for cardboard boxes, reusable calico bags and home compostable courier packaging. SNUGBAGS also use YKK recycled zips made from recycled plastic bottles. Their offices and warehouse are also carbon neutral certified through EKOS. SNUGBAGS are a Native Forest Restoration Trust Carbon Partner and also launched a Zero Waste project called SNUG-ZERO™ to create sleeping bags from surplus/mismatched fabric cuts.
