HEVEA truly set a gold standard when it comes to social responsibility. The brand supports children’s charities such as 100% for the Children in Ghana and Kenya, where intensive work is carried out to improve living conditions for children and young adults. HEVEA has also donated more than 2,000 dummies to the children of young parents living in the most disadvantaged areas of Nairobi.
HEVEA is a B Corp-certified company. The brand maintains a long-standing relationship with their manufacturers and a strong Code of Conduct is in place ensuring ethical working conditions. They strictly follow principles of non-discrimination, seeking “to guarantee that human rights are exercised without discrimination of any kind based on race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status such as disability, age, marital and family status, sexual orientation and gender identity, health status, place of residence, economic and social situation”.
HEVEA manufactures its products using natural rubber, which is both sustainable and compostable. The brand plants Hevea Brasiliensis trees together with Tree-Nation, an initiative that runs reforestation and conservation projects to help restore forests, create jobs, support local communities and protect biodiversity.
