Woohoo Body is certified Vegan and Cruelty-Free by PETA and Safe Cosmetics Australia. The brand prioritises Fairtrade ingredients and does not source packaging or ingredients from countries that utilise child labour. They work with packaging suppliers that hold the appropriate ISO accreditations to ensure adherence to recommended business practices. All products are accredited as Australian Made and Owned, with manufacturing conducted in-house at their warehouse in Newcastle, NSW, where the small team is treated ethically, receives numerous perks and earns above award wages.
Woohoo Body focuses on minimising plastic to achieve a plastic-free bathroom, having already developed a 100% plastic-free deodorant range. In 2024, they introduced infinitely refillable deodorant cases made entirely from aluminium to enhance the usability of cardboard deodorant sticks. Their shipping practices include using compostable tape, FSC-certified cardboard boxes and compostable bio-fill, while brochures and paperwork utilise recycled or FSC-certified paper. They prioritise reducing plastics in their skin and hair products by using aluminium screw caps and encourage reusing pumps made from easily recyclable polypropylene. Certified Plastic Negative by rePurpose Global, the brand removes double the plastic waste generated by their operations. They eliminated plastic bottles and jars in 2022, sourced ingredients from Australian suppliers and implemented energy-efficient practices. Their in-house recycling program and community initiatives support re-using and repurposing materials, while their biodegradable formulas and concentration efforts minimise environmental impact.
Woohoo Body is a long-time member of 1% for the Planet, donating a portion of all sales to various planet-focused charities, including Carbon Positive Australia, Ozharvest, Humane Society International Australia, ThreadTogether, Children's Ground and KKT (The Karrkad Kanjdji Trust). The brand also makes regular donations to local organisations to assist in their fundraising efforts. Additionally, Woohoo Body educates the community about reducing waste and promoting kindness through blogs and social media posts and practices inclusive marketing, ensuring that every body is welcome.

Product Reviews by Experts

What I appreciate most about using this deodorant is how gentle and smooth it feels on my skin while still effectively controlling odour throughout the day. The subtle, fresh scent is pleasant without being overpowering and I love knowing that the product is thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind, from its plastic-free, compostable packaging to the refillable aluminium case. It feels good to use something that not only works well but also aligns with values of environmental care and ethical production. I’m impressed by this brand’s comprehensive and genuine commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. They go beyond just offering plastic-free packaging by actively pursuing innovations like refillable aluminium cases and minimising plastic use throughout their entire product range. Their dedication to ethical sourcing, fair labor practices and supporting the local community through recycling programs and repurposing initiatives shows a deep sense of responsibility. Additionally, their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and ensure all products are biodegradable and environmentally friendly demonstrate a thoughtful approach that balances product performance with care for people and the planet.

I like that the Drift stick is smooth, creamy and doesn’t contain baking soda- it feels gentle on sensitive skin while still getting the job done. The anti-chafe feature adds real value during hot days or workouts! The compostable cardboard tube is a clear plus (no plastic) and they’ve received certifications like Made Safe, Toxic Free and Allergy Certified, backed by Safe Cosmetics Australia. Being a member of 1% for the Planet and certified plastic-negative through rePurpose Global also shows they’re covering both ingredients and packaging in their eco efforts.

The colour is nice and the product itself smells refreshing. Wonderful that it’s certified by PETA and manufactured in Australia. It’s great to know that workers are treated fairly too.
