The Inoya Period Cup is produced in South Korea, a country noted for its exceptional FemTech industry and stringent labour laws, ensuring safe and ethical production practices with certified manufacturers. The founder’s familiarity with South Korean regulations leads to close, transparent relationships with manufacturing partners. The brand goes beyond the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations, surpassing minimum safety standards by conducting independent labouratory testing in line with ISO 13485 standards that validate material purity, durability, leak-proofing and the absence of harmful chemicals. Additionally, they support full ingredient transparency to empower consumers, emphasising ethical manufacturing, rigorous safety testing and fair labour practices in their commitment to integrity and respect for people and the planet.
The Inoya Period Cup, made from 100% medical-grade silicone, can replace up to 11,000 disposable tampons and lasts over five years, significantly decreasing landfill waste and plastic pollution. The brand uses FSC-certified paper for 100% of its packaging, which is fully recyclable and biodegradable, along with biodegradable inner packaging and soy-based inks. They ship products in recyclable and compostable mailers and utilise Australia Post’s carbon-neutral service to offset delivery emissions, promoting long-lasting, environmentally responsible period care solutions.
Inoya's reusable organic cotton pads are handmade by a South Korean social enterprise that employs disadvantaged women, including North Korean refugees, fostering financial independence and ethical production. The brand tackles period poverty through initiatives like “Buy One, Give One for Dignity,” where for every Period Cup purchased, one is donated to someone in need. They also support menstrual health education in Nepal by donating products for workshops aimed at underserved students. Additionally, the brand promotes women's empowerment in business as its founder engages with the startup community and advocates for female leadership.

Product Reviews by Experts

What really stands out about Inoya is how much they genuinely care about doing things right, not just making a great product, but focusing on ethical manufacturing and safety testing. Their commitment to sustainability feels real, with eco-friendly packaging and a reusable cup that cuts down a ton of waste. I also love how they give back by creating jobs for disadvantaged women, fighting period poverty through donations and supporting menstrual health education. Plus, their founder’s passion for empowering women in business shows this brand is about way more than just products!

I love how secure it was throughout the day. Definitely helps me feel more confident when I’m going about my day. Didn’t leak, so a win for me! Some period cups I’ve tried before have caused leakage, so I was a bit worried until I tried this. The overall concept of the menstrual cup replacing tons of tampons to help reduce landfill is one of the reasons I made the switch years ago. I’m glad more and more women are taking sustainability into account and to have Inoya make that accessible for others is wonderful.

I appreciated the variety of cups for your flow. It was also great, how soft and easy they were to use.
