I don’t usually drink black tea without milk as I find it bitter and bland. However this is not the case with Cottage Morning. I love the different flavours coming through, the vanilla gives it a subtle sweetness and the lemony touch is so fresh. Although not overly strong, I can taste the black tea and immediately feel a little pick me up caffeine hit. Might try it with milk just for fun, but so good on its own. Flavours on point! I am impressed by the thoughtful sourcing of ingredients. It’s so easy to bypass this as it significantly cuts into margins or puts your product into a “too expensive” category – so any producer that prioritises this gets a big tick. Also love the recycled bottle initiative; that’s not easy to do, takes commitment to keep it going and I dare say, added costs.
I loved this black tea blend, it has a beautifully comforting flavour, with the subtle hint of vanilla creating a smooth, cosy finish. I was also excited to see the cork-lined lid, as it’s the first plastic-free sealing solution I’ve personally come across for a glass tea jar. Combined with the refill option, it makes reducing packaging waste simple and practical. I was most impressed by their thoughtful approach to sustainability, from sourcing ingredients locally where possible and producing in small batches to introducing innovative packaging solutions such as the cork-lined lid and refill program. Their commitment to supporting Aboriginal-owned businesses and continually improving their sourcing and packaging demonstrates that sustainability is embedded throughout the business rather than treated as an afterthought.
Loved the flavour of the black tea with the lemon. Really refreshing at any time of the day. I appreciate the care in sustainable packaging and also the commitment to sustainability and ethically sourced ingredients in creating this product.
